Fundraising Events

All proceeds from the following fundraising events benefit HIA Hospice, supporting the compassionate end-of-life care we provide in our communities.

Naytahwaush Nightriders Hospice/Tommy Mac Memorial Ride

Event Date: February 1 & 2, 2025

Event Description: Each year, the Naytahwaush Nightriders Snowmobile Club organizes the Hospice/Tommy Mac Memorial Ride to benefit HIA Hospice. This public, round-trip snowmobile ride begins in Naytahwaush, Minnesota, and travels to a selected destination. Participants are encouraged to gather pledges in support of HIA Hospice.

Event Description: Held annually at Pinehurst Resort in Naytahwaush, Minnesota, RibBest is a community rib competition and potluck. Guests can enjoy food, good company, rib judging at 4 p.m. and a potluck meal at 5 p.m.

Heroes for Hospice

Event Date: June 18, 2025 | 11am – 1pm

Event Description: Choice Bank hosts the annual Heroes for Hospice event in Grand Forks, North Dakota, to honor local heroes and support HIA Hospice. For a suggested donation of $10, attendees can enjoy lunch and show appreciation for the heroes in attendance.

Go Hawaiian for Hospice

Event Date: June 24, 2025 | 11am – 1pm

Event Description: Choice Bank hosts the annual Go Hawaiian for Hospice luau fundraiser in Fargo, North Dakota, to benefit HIA Hospice. For a suggested donation of $10, attendees can enjoy a luau-style lunch in a fun Hawaiian-themed setting.

Sweet N’ Stickey in Dickey

Event Date: July 12, 2025

Event Description: The annual Sweet N’ Stickey in Dickey Rib Cook-off takes place in Dickey, North Dakota. This event offers a chance to showcase your culinary skills, enjoy a potluck and participate in family-friendly outdoor activities, all while enjoying music and fun.

JJ’s Hog Roast for Hospice

Event Date: August 2, 2025

Event Description: The annual JJ’s Hog Roast for Hospice takes place in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota. This event features a car show, hog roast dinner, silent auction, kids’ activities, live music and ATV/UTV mud drag racing. It’s held in memory of Jeffrey “JJ” Bruns, Jr., whose family HIA Hospice supported following his passing.

Ole’s Ride

Event Date: August 23, 2025

Event Description: Ole’s Ride is an annual event honoring Richard “Ole” Barten, who was cared for by HIA Hospice in his final months. This exciting event takes place in Vergas, Minnesota and features a bike show and ride through the scenic lakes country of Minnesota. After the ride, attendees can enjoy a silent auction and live music.

Ole’s Ride

Lillian Bridgeford Memorial Golf Scramble

Spaghetti Benefit Dinner

Event Description: Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, hosts an annual Spaghetti Benefit Dinner to support HIA Hospice. The event features a delicious meal and an opportunity to connect with local community members.

Tree Walk for Hospice

Event Date: November 29, 2025

Event Description: The annual Tree Walk for Hospice takes place in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. This festive event features beautifully decorated trees, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, a silent auction, lunch, bake sale and more—fun for the whole family.
