Tracee Capron, RN, BS Edu., MAOL, Executive Director

Tracee is responsible for setting and guiding the strategic direction of HIA Health. She works to develop a robust and comprehensive framework for integrating hospice and palliative care into strategic alliances and partnerships within the health care community.

Lori Kuehne, MD, ABFM, HMDC, Physician 

Dr. Lori Kuehne has been a Family Physician for 30 years. She is board certified in family medicine, hospice and palliative care.

Mark Rostad, MD, Medical Director

Dr. Mark Rostad is a board-certified internal medicine physician specializing in hospice and palliative medicine. A North Dakota native, he earned his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences in Grand Forks. Dr. Rostad is certified in both internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Becky Pfau, RN, BS, CHPN, Director of Clinical Operations – East Region

Becky manages the clinical operations of our eastern HIA Hospice region, offering strategic guidance and support to various clinical teams, including nurses and certified nursing assistants. She is dedicated to ensuring that patients and their families receive top-quality care.

Sharlee Trevithick, RN, BSN, Director of Clinical Operations – West Region

Sharlee manages the clinical operations of our western HIA Hospice region, offering strategic guidance and support to various clinical teams, including nurses and certified nursing assistants. She is dedicated to ensuring that patients and their families receive top-quality care.

Brenda Iverson, Director of Marketing & Community Relations

Brenda is responsible for marketing, public relations, advertising, and community engagement. Brenda’s team engages in education throughout the region to increase awareness for the benefits of the services provided by HIA Health and nurtures relationships with community partners. 

Liz Sterling, RN, BSN, MEd, Director of Education & Quality

Liz is responsible for the organization’s quality and clinical education programs. She also serves as the clinical leader for the chaplains and social workers. She is active in bringing together all members of the hospice team to provide excellent care to our patients and families.

Theresa Stahl, Director of Finance

Theresa oversees the finance, accounting and purchasing for the organization. This includes managing cash and investments, insurance and contracting. She directs budgeting, expense and revenue analysis and forecasting. 

Michael Meyer, Director of Philanthropy

Michael serves the development team by providing strategic leadership and training gleaned from years of successful fundraising experience for non-profit and higher educational organizations. His passion is working with donors and supporters to secure resources that allow us to provide care through life’s journey.

Heather Collins, Director of Human Resources

Heather manages the human resources team, overseeing all aspects of human resources operations for HIA Health, including talent acquisition, benefits and compensation.

Jessica Reier, MBA, Director of Strategic Programming 

Jessica is the Director of HIA House Calls, where she leads the primary and palliative care programs. Her focus is on ensuring that the highest standards of care are consistently met and exceeded.
